On more Felt Wallhanging

Unfortunately I can show you only one more Felt Wallhanging. The other pics we've taken are very bad, it is difficult with our camera to take good photos inside a building. Most of the time we take our pictures on our terrace because there is a lot of light. To make this one "Pebbles" I've made three pre-felts of merino wool and than I made a design of "Pebbles" on top of the white pre-felt. Before I start painting with acrylics, I prepared the canvas with gesso, to give it a little bit of structure.


Desafortunadamente solo puedo enseñaros una tapiz más de fieltro. El resto de las fotos que hicimos son de mala calidad, es difícil hacer fotos con nuestra cámara dentro. La mayoría de las veces hacemos las fotos en nuestra azotea porque ahi hay mucha luz. Para hacer esta "Piedras" hice tres pre-fieltros de lana merino y entonces hice un diseño de "Piedras" encima del pre-fieltro blanco. Antes de comenzar a pintar con acrilicos, preparé el lienzo con yeso, para darle un poco de estructura.

Exhibition Preview 12 November Ronda

Yesterday we had a great Exhibition preview of "Heartfelt from Trudis", my first felt exhibition here in Ronda. A lot of friends from Ronda came to visit the exhibition and gave very positive comments. It was very pleasant to hear from different people from all over the world (Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Argentina, Australia, Japan, Germany and the UK) they liked the textile art creations and it gives me a lot of satisfaction after the weeks of hard work. Later on this week I will post more pics. Thank you so much everybody!

Ayer se celebró la inauguración de la exposición con las creaciones de Trudis con fieltro y técnica mixta. Muchos amigos y amigas de Ronda han venido para ver la exposición y los comentarios fueron muy positivos. Es muy agradable de tener reacciones tan buenos de gente de todas partes del mundo (España, Bélgica, Holanda, Argentina, Australia, Japon, Alemania y el Reino Unido). Estoy muy satifecha después de tantas semanas de mucho trabajo. La semana que viene voy a plublicar mas fotos.

Felting Balls

 

Today we have made a lot of felting balls for necklaces, keychains etc... I love mixing all kind of different colors, it makes me happy!

Hoy hemos hecho un montón de bolas de fieltro para collares, llaveros etc... Me encanta mezclar todo tipo de colores, me hace feliz!

Vandaag hebben we een heleboel vilten balletjes gemaakt voor halskettingen, sleutelhangers etc... Ik hou ervan om allerlei kleuren met elkaar te mixen, het maakt me happy!

Small pieces for the Expo - Lots of Felt Dreads -

No tengo mucho tiempo para escribir en mi blog porque estoy preparando un monton de cosas para mi exposición de tapices en noviembre. Como estos pequeños tesoros de fieltro. Hemos hecho (mi marido y hija Carmela me ayudan de vez en cuando) coleteras, pulseras y collares de fieltro en muchos colores.



At this moment I do not have many time to write on my blog because I'm preparing a lot of things for my Expo with wallhangings in november. Like these little felt treasures. We (my husband and daughter Carmela, they help me occasionally) are making felted necklaces, bracelets and felt dreads in all different kind of colors to put in your hair.


Op dit ogenblik heb ik niet veel tijd meer om te bloggen omdat ik druk bezig ben met de voorbereiding van de Expo van mijn vilten wandkleden in november. We (mijn man en dochter Carmela helpen me nu en dan) maken ook kleinere hebbedingetjes zoals gevilte kettingen, armbanden en haarrekkers in allerlei kleurtjes.

Cosy Bed Socks

Deze comfortabele bedsokjes in vilt heb ik gemaakt als cadeau voor mijn moeder. Ze heeft vaak last van koude voeten in bed en ik ben er zeker van dat ze met deze lekkere wollen bedsokken gemaakt met pure merino wol van binnen en vanbuiten geen kou zal hebben deze winter. Omdat ze naast het bed ook mooi zouden staan heb ik er verschillende sierstiksels op gemaakt.


Las pantuflas de fieltro que pueden ver aqui, hice como regalo para mi madre. Siempre tiene los pies frios en la cama y ahora estoy seguro que el invierno que viene va a tener los pies agradablemente calientes cuando lleva las pantuflas. Hecho de lana merino 100% y adornado con algunos bordados tambien delante de la cama están bien.

I made these comfortable cosy bed socks especially for my mother as a present. She has cold feet in bed and now I'm very sure she will have warm feet when she's wearing these felted slippers in bed this winter. They're made of 100% merino wool inside and outside. The bed socks are embellished with embroideries so they also look nice standing next to the bed.

Werk in Uitvoering - Trabajo en Progreso - Work in progress

Op dit moment ben ik een vilten wanddecoratie aan het maken die volledig uit vervilte wol bestaat. Het idee voor het ontwerp kwam bij het zien van een foto in een fantasie tekenboek waar mijn dochter graag tekeningen uit maakt. Het boek staat vol met taferelen uit fantasieverhalen en allerlei avonturen. Bij het vilten gebruik ik bronwater uit Benahavís, een wit bergdorpje in de omgeving van San Pedro. Het water komt uit de Sierra de las Nieves en is zo helder en lekker dat er alle dagen vele mensen water komen aftappen aan die bron.


Estoy haciendo una decoración de pared con fieltro. Está hecha completamente de lana virgen. La inspiracíón fue una imagen que he visto en un libro de fantasía con imagines y cuentos de aventuras. Estoy usando agua natural de la fuente de Benahavís que está en la Sierra de las Nieves cerca de San Pedro. El agua es tan pura y buena que cada día mucha gente viene aprovecharse al fuente.


I am making a felt textile art wallhanging.It is completely made of felted wool. For the design I was inspired by a picture in a fantasy book of my daughter who likes to draw pictures from fantasy and adventure tales. I use natural water from the spring of Benahavís that lies in the mountains of the Sierra de las Nieves near San Pedro. This water is so pure and good that a lot of people come to tap this water from the spring every day.

Deze nuno vilten sjaal is gemaakt met Merino wol op zijde en versierd met Swarovskiparels. In totaal heb ik er bijna 5 uur aan gewerkt. D.w.z. idee uittekenen, wol volgens patroon uitleggen, walken, vilten en de swarovski parels er op naaien. Ik ben blij dat deze nuno vilten sjaal nu gedragen wordt door een zeer lieve mevrouw.

Esta obra de fieltro se llama "Lágrimas para un amigo" y lo hice después de la muerte de un amigo muy bueno de Bélgica. Adieu le grand Bernard, siempre estarás con nosotros. Un beso muy grande de todos nosotros.

Roze Vilten Schaal - Cuenco Rosa de Fieltro - Pink Felt Bowl

Deze roze vilten schaal was in eerste instantie een vilten hoed. Doordat ik met mijn gedachten ergens anders aanwezig was terwijl ik de opening (te groot) aan het knippen was, is het een vilten schaal geworden. :-)) Leuk dat je er altijd iets anders kan van maken!


Este cuenco rosa fue originalmente un sombrero de fieltro. Pero porque estaba pensando en otra cosa mientras cortaba el hueco (demasiado grande), se convirtió en un cuenco de fieltro :-) ¡Qué oportuno que siempre se puede hacer cosas distintas con cualquier cosa de fieltro!


This pink bowl was initially a felt hat. But because I was thinking of something else while I was cutting the hole (too big), it became a felted bowl:-)) What I like about this is, with felt you can always make something else of it!

Mijn Favoriete Vilten Halsketting - Mi Collar de Fieltro Favorito - My Favorite Felt Necklace

Deze vilten halsketting maakte ik voor mezelf en draag ik het hele jaar door. Hij is gemaakt van een gevilte lap waar ik cirkels heb uitgesneden. Deze gevilte cirkels heb ik op een touw geregen en in de wasmachine nog eens extra laten doorvilten, samen met houten kralen en schelpjes is het een mooie combinatie geworden die je kunt dragen bij veel gelegenheden.


Este collar de fieltro es mi absoluto favorito y me lo pongo durante todo el año. Está hecho de una pieza de fieltro de la cual he recortado unos círculos. Estos círculos de fieltro los he pasado por una cuerda que he lavado otra vez en la lavadora para tener unos círculos de fieltro más tensos, junto con perlas de madera y conchas es una buena combinación que se puede llevar en muchas ocasiones.


This felt necklace I've made for myself and I wear it all year round. It is made from a felted piece where I've cut out circles. These felted circles I strung on a cord that I've put in the washing machine to felt more. Along with wooden beads and shells it's a good combination that you can wear for many occasions.

Ideale Dag om te Vilten - Un Día Estupendo para Afieltrar

Vandaag was het een druilerige dag in Andalusië, dus ideaal om de dag te vullen met vilten. Van restjes wol heb ik balletjes gevilt die ik later wil gebruiken om een wandkleed te maken. Ook de kleine zeepjes voor de zeepshop in de buurt heb ik gevilt, zo kan ik ze morgen al bezorgen.
Ineens kreeg ik inspiratie om een handtas te vilten met leuke lentekleurtjes.
Verder nog een snoer in allerlei kleuren gevilt, waar ik plakjes van heb afgeknipt. Deze plakjes nog eens extra vervilt en die komen dan op de handtas als versiering terecht. Nog een beetje gerommeld en opgeruimd in mijn atelier en voor ik het goed en wel besefte was het 8 uur. Wat een bezig dagje, maar ik heb er wel van genoten!

Hoy fue un día lluvioso en Andalucía, ideal para hacer cosas con lana virgen. Con trozos de lana virgen he afieltrado unas bolas que luego voy a utilizar para hacer un tapiz para la pared. También he hecho los jaboncitos de fieltro para la tienda de jabón en la zona, así puedo llevarlos mañana.
De pronto me sentí inspirada para hacer un bolso con colores de primavera muy bonito.
Además he hecho un cordón de fieltro en varios colores del cual he cortado rodajas. Estas rodajas las he afieltrado un poco mas para que estén mas firmes para decorar sobre el bolso. Estuve ordenando mi taller y antes de darme cuenta ya eran las 8 de la tarde. ¡Tuve un día muy ocupado, pero lo he disfrutado!

Today it was a rainy day in Andalusia, so I desided to felt. From all kind of left overs of wool I felted balls that I want to use later on a tapestry. I also made the little felted soaps for the soap shop in the neighbourhood, so I can deliver them tomorrow.
Suddenly I felt inspired for making a handbag with nice spring colors.
Further on I felted a cord in various colors that I've cut in slices. These slices I felted a little bit more to give them more strength and I will use them as a decoration on the felted handbag. At last I cleaned up my felt studio and suddenly it was 8 o'clock. What a busy day, but I've enjoyed it!

Kussenhoes voor Sierkussen met Vilten Hart - Funda Decorativa de Almohado con un Corazón de Fieltro - Velvet Cushion with Felted Heart

Vandaag heb ik een velours kussenhoes met een groen vilten hart afgewerkt. Het sierkussen, dat gebruikt kan worden om je fleecedeken in op te bergen, is versierd met bamboe koraal schijven, met daarop een glazen kraal.
Het geeft een leuk gepoft effect door vulling te gebruiken aan de voorkant en de rode fluwelen stof voelt lekker zacht aan.

Today I have finished a velvet cushion cover with a green felted heart. The decorative pillow can be used to store your fleece blanket, it's decorated with bamboo coral discs with on top of each disc a glass bead.
I used some stuffing at the front of this velvet cushion that gives a nice popping effect and the velvet feels very nice and soft.
