Afscheid nemen - Despedirse - Farewell

Dit vilten werkje heet "Tranen om een vriend" en heb ik gemaakt na het overlijden van een zeer goede vriend uit België. Adieu le grand Bernard, altijd zal je dicht bij ons zijn. Dikke zoen van ons allen.

Esta obra de fieltro se llama "Lágrimas para un amigo" y lo hice después de la muerte de un amigo muy bueno de Bélgica. Adieu le grand Bernard, siempre estarás con nosotros. Un beso muy grande de todos nosotros.

This felted wallhanging is called "Tears for a friend" and I've made it after the death of a very good friend from Belgium. Adieu le grand Bernard, you will always be close to us. Big kiss from us all.

Vilten uit de Vacht - Fieltrado desde el vellón - Feltin right from the Fleece

Afgelopen weekend hebben we gevild rechtstreeks uit de vacht van Spaanse schapen. De witte wol was heel moeilijk om mee te vilten, maar het is ons uiteindelijk toch gelukt. En zie hier de resultaten.


El útimo fin de semana hemos fieltrado directamente desde el vellón de oveja española. La lana blanca era muy difícil de afieltrar, pero al final hemos hecho con éxito. Y aquí puede ver los resultados.


Last weekend we felted directly from the fleece of Spanish sheep. The white wool was very difficult to felt with, but after a while it worked pretty well, and here are the results.

-Groene vilten sjaal met gaten gemaakt met Merinowol en versierd met bloemetjes.

-Chal verde de fieltro con huecos hecho con lana virgen Merino y decorado con flores.

Ben je geïnteresseerd om hieraan mee te werken??? Vilt dan een bloem in één van de volgende kleuren : wit, geel, oranje, rood, roze, paars of groen. De bloem moet hand gevilt zijn en de max. diameter mag de 7 cm niet overschrijden. Je mag er een aantal materialen in verwerken zoals stof en parels.

La flor tiene que hacerlo con lana virgen y el diámetro máximo de la flor no podrá exceder de 7 cm. Támbien puede usar unos materiales como tejidos o perlas.

Veel Werk - Mucho Trabajo - A Lot of Work

Deze morgen kreeg ik zomaar twee grote zakken vol met wol en dit op mijn verjaardag! Mijn dag kan niet meer stuk, ik weet de toekomende weken wat gedaan met mijn tijd. Weet iemand welke kaardmachine ik hiervoor het best kan gebruiken? Het is wol van Spaanse schapen. Maar eerst aan de slag om de wol te wassen!


Esta mañana una persona me ha regalado dos sacos grandes de lana virgen y este en el día de mi cumpleaños! ¡Qué suerte tengo! Ahora yo sé que tengo que hacer las proximas semanas. ¿Alguien sabe que tipo de cardadora tengo que usar para cardar este tipo de lana? Es lana virgen de España. Pero primero tengo que lavar la lana!



This morning someone gave me two big bags full with fleece of their sheep and this on my birthday! Lucky me, now I know what to do the next week. Does somebody know which kind of carding machine I have to use for this kind of wool? It is Spanish wool. But first of all I will have lots of work with washing the wool!
